Works for Me Wednesday

This week, I'm going to tell you a few of my FAVORITE places to shop...ONLINE! :)

Here we go:

My store: Whether I need something new for Lorelei or something for an upcoming birthday party or baby shower, I buy from my store. What can I say? I love my taste. Ha!

Athleta: I love their comfy clothing. And, I love that it's made for the active lifestyle. I'm not feeling too active at the moment (it's before noon and COLD outside ;) )...but just wait til the weather warms up!

UncommonGoods: You wanna know what I hate more than Walmart? Giving gifts from Walmart. They seem so...impersonal. If Walmart has it, you can pretty much bet so does half the population by default. (I only like Walmart for things I need fast and cheap...and even then, I wish our small town had more options.)

RedEnvelope: Wonderful place to find more "classy" gifts. And, still unique!

VistaPrint: The place I go for inexpensive stationery, business cards, and whatever else I fancy.

Etsy: One of my FAVORITES. I love going here to find new things to fall in love with and to continuously build my "wish list". :) Great for all things homemade ...they've got EVERYTHING!

...And then of course all of those links to the left. They have some wonderful things! (check them out!)

Little Missmatched - Socks!

Socks can be sooo boooorrrriiiinnnnggg! But not Little Missmatched socks! With each set, you get 3 mismatched (yet coordinating) socks.

Choose from liners (really really low socks), anklets, toe socks, knee highs, and fuzzy "marshmallow" socks that are oh-s0-soft. These awesome socks come in a variety of fun patterns and bright colors.

Whether you just love color or need a way to spruce up your 9-5 workweek with some vibrant color, these socks are great!

Be different. Be you. We dare you.

My Traveling ABCs

Baby L loves her Traveling ABCs... all 26 of them! Each letter is specially designed with different textures for baby to explore, as well as a velcro loop on each one - perfect to use with the Babe Ease Clean Shopper and Clean Diner.

Younger babies can play with the letters and attach them to their infant car seats. Older babies and toddlers can have fun trying to find items in the store that start with the letters they've attached to their Clean Shopper, helping to make that shopping trip go a little bit smoother!

Itzbeen

As a new parent, sleep-deprivation can get the best of you. Suddenly, you have trouble remembering even the simplest things. When did I feed Junior last...or...was that yesterday? Or, you wake up in the middle of the night because you forgot to change little Sally's diaper...and then, after trekking ALL THE WAY across the hall in the dark (stumbling over the dog), you realize...she's at grandma's (you had been hoping to get some sleep). Well, lucky you, because Coast Innovations has a new product in town called Itzbeen.

This awesome product keeps track of the last time you changed baby's diaper, fed baby, baby went down for a nap, and an "extra" time (we just hope you don't forget what that one is for). It also has a functioning clock built in, and a special switch to help you remember which side baby nursed from last (if you choose to breastfeed). You can set it so the alarm sounds, or just let let it count upwards, so when you start wondering "When was the last time I...."...You'll know. It has a handy-dandy clip on the back so you can carry it around...heck, you can even clip it to the baby (or even safer, baby's crib). The itzbeen also has a soft glow nightlight to help you find your way around in the dark, as well as a display backlight so you can read the screen.

Personally, I'm pretty impressed. This gadget is truly great- and would make for a great baby shower gift!

Best Of....Cloth Diapers and Accessories 2008

Brand Name: Fuzzi Bunz
Type: Pocket Diaper
Sizing Info.
Rating: 9.5

Pricing: approx. $15 -$20 (depending on whether you buy the newer versions and whether you buy a solid or print)

Comments: Larger cut than most. Less bulky than most of the other brands tried in this experiment. We experienced NO leaks with this diaper!

However, I do wish there was a third snap to keep the tabs aligned better.

**NOTE: Be sure to pull the top of the tabs up so they are even.

Brand Name: BumGenius
Type: Pocket One-Size Diaper
Sizing Info.: Fits babies from 7 -35 lbs (it's adjustable- the same
diaper can fit three different sized children in that range).
Rating: 9

Pricing: $17.95

Comments: I love that this diaper is one size. I like the thought of it lasting until my daughter is ready to be potty trained - not to mention the fact that siblings (between the 7-35 range) could share diapers. You wouldn't have to worry any longer about who's is who's! I also like the covered insert opening - It keeps the insert from coming out of the diaper (which would get baby's clothes wet), but does not keep the insert from being able to be shaken loose into the diaper pail.

Another plus? It isn't bulky.

Brand Name: BumGenius
Type: AIO (All In One)

Sizing Info.:

XS (Extra-Small) fits from 6-12 pounds. It is intended for a newborn and fits low, below the naval, to keep the umbilical area dry. This diaper is designed to fit during that itty-bitty newborn stage.
S (Small) fits from 8-16 pounds. This diaper is slightly larger with a higher rise than the XS. It is intended for after your
baby's umbilical cord has fallen off.
M (Medium) fits from 15 - 22 pounds.
L (Large) fits from 22 - 30 pounds.

Rating: 9 - One of the best AIOs I've used, yet!

Pricing: $15.95

Comments: Very convenient and would be a great starter diaper for those new to cloth diapering (or dads who like disposables!). These do take a little longer to dry (because they are AIOs), but for me, it wasn't that big of a deal.
